Interest Free Days and No Interest Free Days

Within each of these two sections BankSmart gives you gold credit card information on:

  • Australia's national banks - ANZ, Citibank, Commonwealth Bank, National Australia Bank and Westpac.
  • The main regional banks plus others - American Express, Bank of South Australia, BankWest, Colonial State Bank and Trust Bank..

Benefits Explained

In the tables below all Gold Card benefits are listed with the exception of "Free Travel Accident Insurance" as this is offered by all Gold Cards.

Definitions:

Free travel accident insurance - when you pay for your trip with the card: covers loss of life or limb, usually up to $500,000 while you are on the transport you paid for with the card.
Comprehensive travel insurance - luggage, medical and travel cancellations are covered up to an amount specified in the terms and conditions. Offered by ANZ Premier Gold Visa card, Citibank Rewards, Commonwealth Bank True Awards and Westpac Gold cards.
Free purchase protection insurance - for 90 days - covers loss or damage to goods purchased with the card. To see which other cards provide this service go to "Frequently Asked Questions".
Card cancellation service - call one number and all your cards will automatically be cancelled. Extended warranty - on electrical goods. To see which other cards provide this service go to "Frequently Asked Questions".
